Sunray Capital Partners Investment Criteria
- $3-10 Million in Sales Revenue: Annual sales revenue ranging from $3MM to $10MM.
- $0.3-2.0 Million in EBITDA: Annual EBITDA of $300,000 to $2MM.
- Location: Sunray’s preferences are to acquire business located within or near major metropolitan areas of the Mid-Atlantic or Southeastern region of the United States.
- Solid History: A well-documented detailed financial history of stable or growing sales and profitability. Reputation of a good company to work for and with among its employees, customers, suppliers, and in the local community.
- Differentiated Products and/or Services: Proprietary, innovative or significantly differentiated products and/or services, create sustainable long-term competitive advantage.
- Sustainable Diversification: Majority of sales independent of either the current business owner(-s) or a single sales person, single largest customer, single product, etc.
- Favorable Market: Market for company’s products and services characterized by significant size, growth potential and favorable competitive environment. An example description of the market, that would fit these criteria would be: A rapidly or steadily growing, highly fragmented market, greater than $1bn in size.
- Capital Efficiency: Sunray is seeking businesses that do not require immediate capital investment to sustain its current sales revenue and require reasonable level of working capital.
- Scalable Business Model: Business models that have significant opportunity for operating leverage (i.e. can be scaled without substantial increases in fixed costs or capital expenditures) and have recurring revenue from a strong base of repeat customers.
